Mumford and Sons...White Blank Page

Lost count of how many times this song has been played over and again but instead of thinking about the lyrics tonight as it played,  thought about the title "white blank page"...wondering how many white blank pages and clean slates we will give and are given in life...with people, with experiences. Although it is sometimes hard to remember, each day is a white blank page where anything is possible despite what has held us back before. And although there is a beautiful sadness in this song there is a beautiful hope...

" It's about time to break forth the rhythm and the rhyme" ... I mean about time to break forth the fedoras, head bands and berets...
And in a moment of chic on a whole other level...if you got the nerve rock a turban. Deep love for the look...

Inside Out...Outside In.

How flat out fabulous are these homes that have blurred the lines between inside and out...

And last but oh so not least, this has been an all time favorite for years...actress Ione Skye's home...

Accidental Brilliance at the moment favorites...

At the moment favorites...the strange beauty of a photograph, this leopard coat and colorful bag mix, the thought of falling asleep in a makeshift tepee, the off kilter color combination of this living room and the rebel luxury of these boots...

Is it possible to have a crush on a closet ?

Well these two are crush worthy for sure...

Neutral Tones...

Nothing boring about these amazing neutral toned rooms...sometimes people say beige and white, gray and brown are less than exciting but these rooms prove that neutral can be sleek and calming...and without all the colors and patterns it seems easier to concentrate on relaxing without all the distractions.

Fractured Bubble in Union Square NYC

Seldom do you so see something so organic located amongst the hustle and bustle of the city...but if you are lucky to catch a glimpse of this sukkot or temporary dwelling you are forced to slow down for just a moment to observe it's natural stark calm beauty set against the noise and commotion of the city. The winning design submission from architects Henry Grosman and Babek Bryan beat out 600 other designs from over 70 countries. During the exodus from Egypt over 3000 years ago, Israelites dwelled in temporary shelters known as Sukkot...to pay homage, Fractured Bubble was erected from plywood, marsh grass and twine. Set against the noise and commotion of the city it offers a moment of still and peace that often is missed in city life.

You Can Close Your Eyes...Eddie Vedder and Natalie Maines.

Well the sun is surely sinking down,
but the moon is slowly rising.
So this old world must still be spinning around,
and I still love you.
So close your eyes...

Live at the Voices for Justice Rally for the West Memphis Three
When we are young we climb them to get to secret hiding places up a tree or look for treasures in the attic, some people think they are bad luck to walk underneath, many climb the corporate one and Michelangelo climbed one to paint the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. The ladder...also brings something extra to a space not only for the sake of function.
