Accidental Brilliance Superfood + Supplement Series...Goji Berries


Call me crazy but something about the color of the towel she is all wrapped up in reminds me of goji berries, and maybe it also the fact that I just finished a handful of them but I decided I had to include them again in my weekly Superfood + Supplement Series. I just don't think they get enough good press in comparison to the good they can do for the body. Known as an adaptogen or substance with a combination of therapeutic actions on the body, they have been used in India, China and Tibet for over 6000 years to boost the immune system, promote anti-aging and longevity among many other uses. A great source of B vitamins and a pure protein source they also strengthen the system to deal with stress, who can't use that. The most interesting benefit they have on the body is they increase the production in our body of HGH or human growth hormone. If you aren't all that familiar with HGH, as we get older the body makes less of it. What do we need it for ?  HGH in the body helps to prevent wrinkling, stop hair from losing color, keep our energy levels high, provide the ability to soundly sleep and the list goes on from there. Goji berries are one of the only legal and safe known ways to increase HGH and, a  handful a day is all you need to get the benefits and since we only get this one body, why not treat it right !
