The world lost artist Cy Twombly yesterday and after reading an article about him in the New York Times today I was struck by something I read... he " practiced drawing in the dark to make his line less purposeful, steadfastly followed his own program and looked to his own muses...he seemed to welcome the privacy that came with unpopularity ". Got me thinking, in a world where it seems we are existing on this highly competitive plain, often becoming unconscious consumers, frequently forgetting to be kind along the way, and not always focusing on living in the moment, it was inspiring to read about someone who, as the article was titled " scribbled his own path ".
