Helio Sequence...This one playin' on repeat

Don't overthink it...that thought plays over and again. Sometimes life moves at a different pace than you thought it would, sometimes things come slower.  But have patience...have conviction + don't be afraid. Keep pushing through it and don't be captive to thoughts that are holding you back from life moving you forward.

Accidental Brilliance In The Beauty Bag...

I am pretty particular when it comes to scents, I tend to like the idea of layering different oils. Rose oil is one of those oils that gives that perfect hint of sweetness and has so many great skin benefits. I have been using the Evanhealy rosehip oil pretty religiously for awhile now and I think it gives the skin a nice glow in the morning. But there are so many nice products out there infused with rose oil which not only give skin a glow but also rehydrate dry skin, repair damage, reduce wrinkles and signs of aging and leave you smelling super sweet.

Accidental Brilliance Picks...

...beach season is officially here and that means the straw hat needs to make it's way back into the rotation. Sorta liking the idea of an over-sized straw fedora to give a little extra shade. Recently found a feather on the beach that instantly got tucked into the band of my new favorite hat.

Skye...Tunes for a Tuesday

Someone asked me if I believed there was a heaven today and with confidence I said yes. Life is all about believing. Believe you are strong, believe you can do it, believe you can change it, become it and be it...

The Girl Has Got It Goin' On...

...when he described her, he said she was the one that was different than the others. He said he saved them, all the notes she had left for him, on the sink in the morning, tucked in his luggage on trips, beside the bed next to the book he was different color inks, on different days each signed the same.  I love you with all I am and all we will be.

Benefits of Mesquite Powder...Accidental Brilliance Superfood + Supplement Series

In the quest to constantly be finding new foods to help live a healthier life I am always happy when I find one I was not familiar with before. Although not very commonly used, Mesquite powder is a traditional food of indigenous cultures. Considered a perfectly balanced food, Native Americans historically relied heavily on it for nourishment due to it's high digestible protein and fiber content. The mesquite tree produces large seed-filled pods, which are collected, ground into a delicious caramel flavored flour, and used in recipes. Desert dwellers often relied upon the sweet pods as a staple food, and would even use them as a bartering tool with neighboring tribes. Today, Mesquite is commonly used for balancing blood sugar levels. Mesquite flour offers a naturally sweet flavor to recipes, but its sugars are derived from fructose (which does not require insulin to digest and is readily metabolized) so balancing blood sugar levels are easier. Additionally, the flour is an excellent form of fiber – meeting almost a quarter of daily needs in just two tablespoons – which not only improves digestion but further benefits sugar metabolism. Mesquite also contains lysine (an amino acid) which in combination with other amino acids helps break down fat and convert it to energy, as well as notable quantities of, calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron and zinc. There are a few simple recipes but these raw mesquite balls are quick, easy + super good...

Sunday Simple Wisdom of Buddha + Somethin' from Grace Potter...

Just Be. There are no words that ring as true to me. Just be...strong, honest, comapssionate, kind, curious, true, passionate, interested, generous and most of all, just be yourself. There is nobody else like you and there is nobody who leave the mark on the world that you will.

Weekend Wisdom...

For Today...

...and it does, time moves so fast and people go in and out of your life. I wrote the other day how important it is to never miss the opportunity to tell people how much they meant to you.We always think there will be another day, another shot to see them again but there are no guarantees. Life is so fragile and it does, it goes by so fast. So for today and for each day after remember that you've just got to get out there and live, take chances, make mistakes, make wishes, be kind and tell them, tell the people you love that you love them...that they left a mark, a footprint on your soul.

John Butler...This One Playin' On Repeat

Have you told them...the most important people in your life, how they are loved and how much you would sacrifice for them ? Seems silly to hold onto them, the words that might just make a difference, make an impact and make your bond just a little bit stronger. Simply she said,  I love you and for a moment the whole world stopped, everything was calm and everything made sense.

Can't take my eyes off...the artwork of Luigi Loqarto

Can't take my eyes off the artwork of Italian artist Luigi Loquarto. Tumultuous + Layered.  That notion that what lies beneath in the recesses begging to see light is what matters, the deep thoughts, desires and hopes. And because tomorrow is not promised, there never seemed a better time than now to unravel it, your heart and all the things you might not have the chance to do if you keep waiting. see more of his work click on over here.

...if there is one closet staple that just works for every season it's the neutral sweater. Currently on the hunt for one to layer over dresses or wear with skinny jeans and clogs.  I don't think you can ever go wrong with a slightly oversized one that slips right off the shoulder, simple meets sexy in the most natural way. Let the hunt continue !

...this one is called Messages and they are everywhere,  in the face of a stranger, on a billboard on the side of a bus, in the opportunity that didn't work out or in the dream you had last night. Tiny clues that help make sense of things and all we have to do is pay attention.

The Girl Has Got It Goin' On...

...someone asked him why he loved her and although there were so many reasons from the way she parted her hair or the way her jeans fit, to her kindnss and the way she laughed...but it was really just one thing, when they met he said, they were complete strangers but somehow when he was with her he felt like he was home and that felt real, it felt honest.

Benefits of Holy Basil...Accidental Brilliance Superfood + Supplement Series

Holy Basil or Tulsi is an important symbol in the Hindu religious tradition and is worshiped in the morning and evening by Hindus at large. The holy basil is also a herbal remedy for a lot of common ailments. For many different reasons I like this supplement most of all for the fact that it helps combat stress. Basil leaves are regarded as an 'adaptogen' or anti-stress agent. Recent studies have shown that the leaves afford significant protection against stress. They say that if you chew 12 leaves of basil, twice a day it does wonders on your stress level and it also purifies blood. It has also been proven to help combat depression and improve strength and stamina along with improve mental clarity. I also like it because it is a proven anti-inflammatory which reduces the painful and dangerous inflammation that plays a key role in various forms of arthritis, cancer and degenerative neurological disorders. Basil also makes a good medicine for a bad headache. It can be taken in the pill form, the extract form or even by grinding leaves with sandalwood paste and applying it on the forehead for relief. A few leaves are also great boiled down with honey and ginger to relieve the common cold and tastes really nice instead of your regular favorite tea blend.

Sunday Simple Wisdom + Somethin' from James Cavern

...he is able who thinks he is able, so don't spend even a moment confused in the notion that there is something that you can not do. Believe you are able to do it, be it or create it. Focus on what you are thinking because it is what you are becoming. You are able,  remember that...always.

Weekend Wisdom...

For Today...

Let yourself be silently drawn by the strange pull of what you really love, it will not lead you astray.  Listen to your inner voice the one that often gets quieted by the hustle and bustle that is life, the one that knows where you belong and where it wants to pull you. Go there, that place in your mind and soul where you are calm and content doing what you really love.

Love what she is wearing...

...although I usually like to pile on a bunch of different arm candy there is something really appealing about one arm cuff. Perfectly simple + powerful.

This one is called Find Yourself...perhaps the most important thing you can do. Find yourself, know yourself and love yourself.

The Girl Has Got It Goin' On...

...when they first met he said it was her confidence that he found the most appealing, that and the way she walked, with a certain sense of grace he said. There was just something about her, he knew from the first day she would mean more than the rest. He said he didn't believe in love at first sight, that was until he met her, after that he said he believed in many things he hadn't before. She told him love does that, it makes you believe.

Benefits of Sea Buckthorn...Accidental Brilliance Superfood + Supplement Seried

When it comes to healthy glowing summer ready skin and shiny hair, my quest to learn how to get it and keep it never seems to end. One of the superfoods that I really love in the pursuit of good skin and hair is Sea Buckthorn. A few years ago, I was looking for all natural shampoos and I started to read about the great benefits of Sea Buckthorn, for renewing shine and strengthening hair. The more I read, the more I realized that for healthy skin, Sea Buckthorn belonged in the mix as well. An orange berry used medicinally in Asia and Europe for hundreds of years, as a superfood it can boost the immune system, help fight fatigue and boost energy. When used topically on the skin, it has been proven to play a key role in healing and rejuvenating the skin. The essential fatty acids and antioxidants it contains are potent skin protectors and healers. The most interesting fact I learned is that it has been studied for it's ability to retard the process of skin maturation by improving the skin's metabolism. It has also been proven to promote skin cell regeneration and repair, which is a very difficult thing to do. I've been using a facial oil by Evanhealy that I love and recommend with Sea Buckthorn. Weleda, makes a great body oil and hand cream as well. Lately there are tons of products hitting the market from creams to serums with Sea Buckthorn in them that can easily be added into your usual skin routine. This stuff is definitely worth looking into and here's a site with lots of interesting facts and even more benefits.

Sunday Simple Wisdom of Buddha + Somethin' from Lucy Rose

You are far from the end of your journey and the only place to find the map of where to go next is in your heart, it's where all the answers to the questions you are afraid to ask lie. There is nobody who will know exactly what you want, you need to ask, ask for what you want. Open your heart to the guidance and let it take you to the places you need to go...and don't you worry, you will get there.

For Today...

Do more of what makes you happy, seems intuitive and yet if someone asked you how much time you spend doing the things that make you feel happy, feel full and feel right , how would you answer ? When was the last time you sat down and really thought about what makes you happy ? So often we are caught up in the pursuit of keeping up that we get lost in the shuffle. For today, think about something that makes you feel happy and go and do it...everything else can wait because you owe it to yourself. You deserve to be happy and you are the only one who is truly responsible for your happiness.

Love What She Is Wearing...

Can't take My Eyes Off...The Artwork of Tobias Tovera

Can't take my eyes off the the artwork of Tobais Tovera. And since there truly is no way to know what will happen, I suppose it is best to experience everything you can, while you can and take the best care of what remains, who remains. see the rest of his work click on oer here.
