Benefits of Astaxanthin...Accidental Brilliance Superfood+ Supplement Series

I always get excited when I find a new supplement that I was not familiar with. Over the years I have gone through phases of taking lots of vitamins + supplements daily to more recently taking a few very key ones. I recently read an interesting article on the benefits of Astaxanthin and was so intrigued I did some further reading. Although I am still not sure how to pronounce it, this supplement is getting added to my daily supplement list for sure. It is hailed as one of the most helpful supplements in fighting the signs of aging on the skin, mind + body.  In this crazy fast paced world we are living in, if there is something that can help slow down the way we age, make us stronger and less fatigued it is worth investigating. 

The supplement is extracted from marine algae and said to be more powerful than almost any other anti-aging supplement. It has been proven to physically + drastically improve the appearance of skin to help with fine wrinkles, freckles and age spots. It goes directly into the nervous system to help support your brain, joint  + skeletal system. It is used by athletes to help build muscle + aid in muscle recovery after a work-out and increase endurance. It is also noted as able to help high blood pressure. Although sometimes the best way to get our vitamins is through our food, Astaxanthin is best delivered in pill/supplement form. Few things to watch out for- make sure the formula you buy is created from marine micro algae + make sure it contains some sort of oil or fatty acid that will help you absorb it most effectively. Recommended dosage is a minimum of 4mg daily. Although there is no fountain of youth, it doesn't hurt to include things in your diet that make the road to well-being a bit smoother, don't you think ?
